Sentire Entertainment is a new kind of organization. It has come together as a natural answer to the changes that have affected the entertainment industry and is composed of a group of individuals who work behind the scenes, supporting and encouraging artists, providing cohesion between all the “moving parts” through communication, artist representation, booking and internet marketing. We feel that quality over quantity is key, hence the first artist we have chosen to present is none other than Fionn O Lochlainn. Please read on to find out more about this artist here.
Fionn O Lochlainn
Anglo–Irish artist Fionn O Lochlainn delivers a vast, guitar driven sound, reminiscent of greats such as Led Zeppelin,
early Bowie or Pink Floyd but with a current originality that draws the listener into a world of vibrant songwriting circa 2008. With multiple instruments including acoustic guitar, piano and mandola, he converges ethereal textures with melodic dreamlike vocals evocative of Beck, Nick Drake and Jeff Buckley. Fionn moves past the lazy descriptors (‘Brit rock,’ ‘acoustic
rock’) that critics sometimes use to paint his work. His songs are haunting and enigmatic, prone to introspection and heavy
blues. Either performing solo or with a full-blown outfit, Fionn flaunts a formidable talent that has received
international critical acclaim for both its musical originality and lyrical substance.
Fionn has appeared with renowned historian, author and activist Howard Zinn for the event 'A Message of Peace'
in New York City. Along with his performances in New York and London, Fionn has showcased at major festivals
such as CMJ and SXSW. He also performs regularly at one of New York City’s most atmospheric venues – Joe’s
Pub, where he launched the extended edition of his satirically titled debut album ‘Spawn of the Beast.’ The album
has been available via iTunes and other major online stores since March ‘08.
One listen to his record or a live set proves that Fionn is not restricted to any given genre but maintains enough
conceptual consistency to deliver music that has been described as:
"A big rock-influenced sound and an equally substantial artistic statement using only traditional, acoustic instruments and keening, crystalline vocals." ~ Jon Sobel, Blogcritics.
"Lovely, lyrical, spiritual, a joy to listen to" ~ Howard Zinn
"It is a great example of using acoustic instruments in a very energetic context. Very refreshing and exciting" ~ Andy Wallace (Legendary producer of Jeff Buckley)
“When Fionn played "Waterside" live in the studio for our radio show, he left everyone in the room breathless. His voice is incredibly pure and always soulful. An amazing performer, songwriter, and recording artist.” ~ Mark Sutton, NPR Producer
"magic writing, magic playing, magic album" ~ Billy Bragg
"We are pretty damn impressed, dreamy strumming and crunchy riffs, moody arrangements and vocals running the gamut from fey introspection to glammy braggadocio." ~ Time Out NYC
"Truly hypnotic voice" ~ Teenpeople
"An incredible voice and masterful guitar playing" ~ Coolfer
"'Spawn of the Beast' is an album for our times and for the people who can still feel and think for themselves. It is an album that can touch your heart because it is written from the same depth in which it reaches. With beautiful arrangements and instrumentation, "Spawn of the Beast" is a soulfully written and performed gift of music to the world". ~ One Heart Books
